How to see hidden files in FileZilla

Posted by: seosurvivor In: The Technical Side

I thought I’d post about this because it’s so simple and yet I am asked about it often.

How do I see all hidden files in my FTP using FileZilla?

or

I can’t see the .htaccess file but I know it’s there!!

If you’re running into that problem too, here’s what to do:

FIRST: Click on “Server”

Seeing hidden files with FileZilla

SECOND: Select “Force Showing Hidden Files”

That’s it. You’re done. Look in the root folder now and you should see the .htaccess file or whatever other hidden file you may be looking for.

Just be careful, you could take a whole system down editing something you don’t know how to edit.
